...the largest selection in town!

Nerja

Well where does one start! A town that has captivated so many for such a long time that so many people you meet say that they come back here year after year.

Nerja is a working town, yes nobody is pretending that there is not a large tourist element because clearly there is and there are many holiday rentals. Nerja however has at the core kept its charm and Spanish identity so often lost in some major resorts.

There are bars and restaurants of all nationalities a really nice mix and of course plenty of traditional Spanish restaurants, chiringuitos and tapas bars many of which still today will serve you a small tapita free with your wine or beer again something that is rapidly disappearing in many larger towns.

Shopping has evolved greatly over the years and although there are just a handful of “high street” names which most agree is just about right there are plenty of small boutique fashion shops, artisan jewellers and galleries offering unique goods. There are of course plenty of souvenir shops, Chinese bizarre, Moroccan and the odd gadget shop like Ale Hop so satisfy those seeking a small gift.

Nerja has one of the most impressive backdrops on the whole of the Costa del Sol. Flanked by the Sierra Almijara mountain range which provides the area with its micro climate and abundance of natural water. The best place to view this is undoubtedly from the Balcon de Europa from here you can enjoy the most fantastic views to the mountains and beaches of Nerja. There are many apartment rentals in this area as it is very popular

Burriana beachNerja has many beaches, the largest being Burriana beach which is fully supported by a great selection of bars and restaurants to suit all budgets. We have self catering Nerja apartments and villas close to all the well known beaches.

Torrecilla beachTorrecilla beach is at the west side of the Balcon de Europa and very popular. There are a number of beach side restaurants and amenities.

Salon beachSalon beach just to the right of the Balcon de Europa as you are looking out to sea is a lovely beach accessed by a small path from near the church on the Balcon. There are no bars or restaurants on this beach.

Calahonda beachCalahonda beach is to the left of the Balcon de Europa again a really nice beach but no bars or restaurants currently to hand although there are plans in the near future for that to change.

Playazo beachPlayazo beach is at the most westerly point of Nerja and the most rustic. There are amenities and some traditional chiringuitos serving food and drink.

Maro beachMaro beach is to the far east of Nerja and from here you can either swim out to or kayak to the Maro waterfall

Walks in NerjaNerja is very popular with walking groups who regularly meet up to explore on foot the best that Nerja has to offer. If your passion is trail running then Nerja is the place for you. With a whole host of dry river beds tough terrain and seemingly endless old goat tracks and paths you will never explore it all in just one visit. If walking is not for you but you would still like to explore the area then there are Jeep Tour companies we can recommend - Life Adventure on Calle Barrio is by far the most well known and popular with so many visitors.

Nerja water sportsThere are plenty of water sports from diving, kayak hire, snorkeling and stand up paddle boards

Padel in NerjaOne of the most popular sports throughout Spain is Padel, a game always played in pairs with the same rules as Tennis. Nerja has a number of Padel courts that can be booked without having to be a member.
